Job Description: Young Person's Programme Administrator at Triangular CIO

Position: Young Person's Programme Administrator.

Organization: Triangular CIO.

Location: Across Tyne and Wear, based in Gateshead/Newcastle.

Employment Type: Sessional Work.

Salary: £12,500/per annum (22 hrs a week)


About Triangular CIO:

Triangular CIO is a charity dedicated to support refugee and asylum seekers across Tyne and Wear. We have been working hard to develop our young person’s programme. We strive to empower and support these young people in overcoming challenges and building brighter futures. Our Young Person's Programme aims to engage, educate, and uplift young people of refugee backgrounds by involving them in decision-making processes and providing various opportunities for positive involvement and development.


Role Overview:

Triangular CIO is seeking a dedicated and passionate Young Person's Programme Administrator to join our team. As the Administrator, you will play a crucial role in the effective management and administration of our Young Person's Programme. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around overseeing data collection, monitoring outcomes, implementing digital systems, and supporting the overall operational needs of the programme. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with young people (including the Young Persons’ Steering Committee) trustees, staff, and external partners.


Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the Young Person's Steering Committee, trustees, and staff to define programme goals and objectives.

- Record and monitor outcomes for the participants in Triangular's Young Person's Programme, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis. This includes using the Integration Star to track outcomes and suggest necessary changes to programme development and implementation.

- Manage a digital Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track progress, outcomes, and participant information

- Digitize, standardize, automate, and optimize administrative tasks to improve efficiency and productivity.

- Facilitate networking and cooperation with other Young Persons' support organizations across the North East of England.

- Support the involvement of young people in Triangular's governance and development through engagement with the Young Person's Steering Committee.

- Assist in the planning and execution of staff shadowing, work experience opportunities, and staff recruitment processes involving young people.

- Contribute to the management and delivery of programme activities, including budget management and resource allocation.

- Ensure the transparency of programme impact and results, generating reports and performance evaluations.

- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance programme quality, establish partnerships, and improve staff training and development.

- Uphold Triangular's values of inclusivity, empathy, and respect in all interactions with young people, colleagues, and external stakeholders.


Qualifications and Skills:

- A strong commitment to supporting and empowering young people from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Demonstrated experience in data collection, monitoring, and analysis.

- Proficiency in utilizing digital systems and tools, with experience in CRM systems being highly desirable.

- Experience using Integration Star, a holistic measurement tool for assessing the integration and overall well-being of young people from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds, is highly desirable for this position. The successful candidate should be familiar with the framework and have practical experience in implementing and analysing the Integration Star assessments to track and evaluate the progress of young people in their integration journey.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse groups, including young people, trustees, staff, and external partners.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and administrative tasks.

- Knowledge of the challenges faced by young refugees and asylum seekers in the UK, particularly in relation to education, mental health, and community integration.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Flexible and adaptable approach to meet the evolving needs of the programme.

- Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion.

Job Advert 1- DATA ADMINISTRATOR 

 

Triangular is currently funded by the Heritage Fund to run an exciting project that deals with connecting refugee and new migrant communities with tradition, culture, and heritage from their countries of origin targeting 3 of the countries where people have found refuge in UK over the last 2 decades, representing groups from the Middle east, Africa, and East Europe.

 

 We are seeking a motivated individual to join our small, friendly team to

·       make sure data is collected, collated, and monitored on a regular basis, and evaluated at the end of the year, and

·       present regular report to trustees on the progress of the project

 

We expect the candidate to have

·       Excellent administrative and IT skills (word, excel, database).

·       Experience of working as part of small team in a charity

·       Understanding of the mental health sector in relation to ethnic minority

communities

 

Pay: working 20 hrs a month @ £15/hr, total annually £3600

Job Advert 2- COMMUNITY CONNECTORS

 

Triangular is  currently funded by the Heritage Fund to run an exciting project that deals with connecting refugee and new migrant communities with tradition, culture, and heritage from their countries of origin targeting 3 of the countries where people have found refuge in UK over the last 2 decades, representing groups from the Middle east, Africa, and East Europe.

 

We are looking for Community Connectors with experience and knowledge of textile-based handcraft to work on a sessional basis to lead training on how to design and make outfits. They will also be knowledgeable of the history of clothing they make and the stories around them. Key responsibility include:

 

·       working with community groups and volunteers, help recruit participants from participating communities, identifying and defining project requirements,

·       organise weekly meetings where participants directly experience the heritage, traditions, history, and culture from their countries of origin. They will be learning designing and history of traditional dress for different celebrations and special occasions.

·       working with volunteers and community champions, make sure health and safety is adhered to while learning about heritage through sharing stories, dress making techniques and demonstrations,

·       work with/ support a film maker who will record and edit project activities as well as help produce and records tutorial on how to make simple outfits.

·       organise yearly celebrations to showcase the success of the project inviting relevant people to the events.

·       Carry out any other tasks as are deemed reasonable for the role, as directed by the Trustees.

 

We expect candidates to have

·       Personal experience as a refugee/migrant or extensive experience of working with refugees/asylum seekers and new migrants.

·       Experience of working as part of small team in a charity

·       Willingness to work some evenings and weekends

  • Prior experience of running a small group;
  • Understanding of the mental health sector in relation to ethnic minority communities

 

Pay: working 14 hrs a month @ £15/hr, total annually £2520
